Best Sweet Potato Casserole
Indulge in holiday bliss with our Best Sweet Potato Casserole—a Cajun-inspired masterpiece of gooey marshmallows, crunchy pecans, and rich flavors!
Ingredients
- 3 or 4 cups of baked sweet potato
- One cup of white sugar
- Two eggs
- 1 tablespoon of a Good Vanilla
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground fresh nutmeg
- 1/4 cup of heavy, whipping cream
For The Topping
- 3 tablespoons of a good butter melted
- One cup of brown sugar
- 1/3 cup of flour
- One cup of chopped pecans or a lil extra if you like pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425.
- Wash, pierce and bake sweet potatoes for 2 1/2 hours, or until fork tender.
- After you bake your sweet potatoes at 4:25 for 2 1/2 hours scoop out 3 to 4 cups of sweet potato and add to a mixing bowel
- Add one cup of white sugar to eggs 1 tablespoon of good vanilla, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg and 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream get a good mixer and mix this together till it is smooth and not lumpy.
- In a greased glass, 9 x 13 casserole dish, pour in this mixture.
- And a side mixing bowl mix together the melted butter, the 1 cup of brown sugar 1/3 cup of flour and 1 cup of chopped pecans.
- Place this mixture, evenly across the top of the sweet potato casserole.
- Bake at 3:25 for 30 minutes
