If you’re anything like me, then you know tablescapes are something I never thought I could pull together. I would see lots of beautiful tablescapes in magazines, on Pinterest and Instagram and would just sit and examine all the details. So it became an overwhelming thought I would just enjoy these beautiful tablescapes here.
Last year at the beginning of the pandemic I found myself cooking pretty much 3 meals a day. Going out to dinner was not an option, so I took enjoyment in recreating restaurant experiences at home. Soon my creative juices started flowing, and tablescapes became a new hobby.
So rather than combining all my beautiful tablescapes for you to copy, I figured I should teach you the basics on tablescapes. And I would bet that you already have everything you need right at home to create the most beautiful tablescape!
Here is how I began:
- Basic white table cloth
- Place mats that are universal (I can use these all summer)
- White dishes
- Dinner napkins
- Flat wear
- Crystal vase (I usually match my flowers to my dinner napkins)
And that is it! Now you’re off to creating the most beautiful tablescapes just with these basic items!
